Athletistic / Hockey. The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) published a message on social media dedicated to the upcoming 2024 NHL draft. Once again, the international federation has shown a lack of respect towards Russia.
To a post with the text “Which European will be selected first in the draft?” » a photo of six players was attached. It is noteworthy that there is not a single representative from Russia or Belarus. Note that this publication contains files by the Finns Konsta Helenius, Emil Hemming and Aron Kiviharju, the Czech Adam Jircek, as well as the Norwegian Mikael Brandsegg-Nygaard.
Note that according to polls of North American experts, Russians Ivan Demidov and Anton Silaev, as well as Belarusian Artyom Levshunov, are considered the favorites for the repechage among Europeans.
The first round of the 2024 NHL Draft will take place on the night of June 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Note that since March 2022, Russia and Belarus have been suspended from competitions under the auspices of the IIHF.
