Athletistic / Hockey. Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin received no votes in the NHL All-Star selections for the final season. The 38-year-old Russian had one of the most unfortunate seasons in North America from an individual standpoint.

The first place in the choice of the best left winger was won by the Russian legionnaire of the New York Rangers, Artemy Panarin. Note that the third was another Russian, Kirill Kaprizov, who defends the colors of the Minnesota Wild. It is worth noting that there are nine players in total on the roster.

Alexander Ovechkin was selected to the season all-star team 12 times during his career: 8 times in the first and 4 times in the second. During the 2012/2013 season, an interesting situation arose in which Ovi found himself in both teams simultaneously – in the positions of right and left winger.

Alexander Ovechkin made his NHL debut in October 2005. Since then, Washington has made the playoffs for the 15th time. In the 2023/24 season, the 38-year-old Russian has played 79 regular season games, scoring 31 goals and providing 34 assists. In 2018, he helped the Capitals win the Stanley Cup.
