Agent Dementyev: “NHL Draft Preliminary Lists Play No Role in Final Club Selection”

Hockey agent Alexey Dementyev told that the preliminary lists of the NHL draft do not play any role in the context of the final selection of clubs.

The next National Hockey League (NHL) draft will take place Saturday evening in Las Vegas. Teams will select promising players and receive the rights to play in the league.

According to the official NHL website, six Russian hockey players were among the top 32 prospects in the current draft: forwards Ivan Demidov of SKA-1946, Igor Chernyshov of Dynamo, Nikita Artamonov of Torpedo and Matvey Gridin of Muskegon, as well as defenders. Anton Silaev from Torpedo and Matvey Shuravin from CSKA.

— I don’t like to make predictions for NHL drafts, because all these preliminary lists play no role in the final selection of teams. They are subjective, but club elections already reflect objectivity. You don’t need to pay attention to what happened, you need to look at how the NHL draft will end, ”Dementyev told .
