Hockey agent Shumi Babaev told that a Russian hockey player will definitely be selected by NHL clubs among the first five picks in the first round of the draft.
The next National Hockey League (NHL) draft will take place in Las Vegas on the night of Friday to Saturday. Teams will select promising players and receive the rights to play in the league.
According to the NHL’s official website, six Russian hockey players were among the top 32 prospects in the current draft: Ivan Demidov of the SKA-1946, Igor Chernyshov from Dynamo Nikita Artamonov of Torpedo and Matvey Gridin of Muskegon, as well as defenders Anton Silaev of “Torpedo” and Matvey Shuravin from CSKA.
