Russian defender Mikhail Sergachev said goodbye to his old club The Tampa Bay Lightning.
On Saturday, Tampa traded the 26-year-old hockey player to Utah, who will make his first appearance in the NHL in the 2024/25 season.
— Thanks to the coaches, I learned a lot from you. Thank you to the medical staff and the partners with whom I played, you made this moment special! I proudly consider myself a Lightning player and I gave absolutely everything to this team. Tampa will always be home to me and my family! I felt your love and support from the fans, it made me better! However, everything comes to an end. We will forever remain champions,” Sergachev wrote on social media.
Sergachev has been playing for Tampa since 2017. As a member of the Lightning, the Russian became a two-time Stanley Cup winner.
