club “Caroline” chose the Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo striker Nikita Artamonov 50th overall in the second round of the National Hockey League (NHL) draft, the Hurricanes reported on social media.
The 18-year-old forward’s current deal with the Russian club runs until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Last season, Artamonov played 54 games for Torpedo in the Fonbet championship of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and scored 23 points. As for the Gagarin Cup, the hockey player took part in five games without scoring any effective action.
