Tampa acquires rights to Stanley Cup winner Guentzel

Tampa Bay Lightning “exchanged with”Caroline » attacker’s rights Jake Gunzel reports the NHL press service.

For the 29-year-old striker, the club gave up the right to selection in the third round of the 2025 draft.

Guentzel is out of contract with a salary of $6 million per year. He could hit the unrestricted free agent market on July 1.

With Carolina, Guentzel played 17 NHL regular season games and scored 25 (8+17) points and 9 (4+5) points in 11 playoff games. He has been playing for the team since March 2024.

Gunzel previously played for Pittsburgh, where he won the Stanley Cup.
