Buffalo bought out Skinner’s contract, who was set to earn $27 million over the next three seasons.

National Hockey League Club “Buffalo sabers » bought out the remainder of the striker’s contract Jeff Skinner reports the team’s press service.

Skinner, 32, had three years remaining on an eight-year, $72 million contract he signed in June 2019.

Following the buyout, the Sabres will pay Skinner for the next six years, but with a reduced salary cap hit that will be less than his original value of $9 million.

Last season, Skinner scored 46 points (24 goals, 22 assists) in 74 regular-season games.
