Kane became a Detroit player in November 2023. As a member of the Michigan club, he played 50 games in the NHL regular season and scored 47 (20+27) points in the goal+pass system.
According to the results of the 2023/2024 NHL regular season, Detroit took ninth place in the Eastern Conference and did not participate in the playoffs.
