Russian defender Ilya Lyubushkin signed a three-year contract with “Dallas” reports the team’s press service.
Over three years, the Russian will receive $9.75 million.
— Ilya will bring us experience and reliability. He is a big, physical right-handed defenseman who excels on the penalty kill. We are pleased to sign him for the next three seasons,” general manager Jim Nill quotes Dallas’ website as saying.
Lyubushkin played for Anaheim and Toronto last season. During the 2023/24 NHL regular season, Lyubushkin played 74 games in which he provided eight assists. In the Stanley Cup, the defender played seven games and scored three points (0+3).
