Russian attacker Matvey Mishkov signed a contract with “Philadelphia Cream” reports the NHL team’s press service.
The 19-year-old forward has signed a standard three-year rookie contract.
“I am very happy to officially be part of the Flyers family.” Making it to the NHL has been a dream of mine since I was a child. I would like to say a huge thank you to the Flyers management for their trust. I will do my best to meet their expectations.
“I’m looking forward to joining my teammates. We have a dream: to win the Stanley Cup, and I promise that I will do everything possible to help the team and make this possible,” Michkov said.
In late June, SKA announced Michkov’s departure to the NHL, where he will join Philadelphia, which drafted him seventh overall in 2023. The rights to him in the KHL are assigned to the St. Petersburg club.
The Russian forward was loaned to Sochi last season, where he played 47 matches and scored 41 points (19 goals and 22 assists).
