Swedish defender Victor Hedman extended the contract with Tampa Bay Lightning reported the NHL club’s website.
The deal is for four years and will come into effect in the 2025/26 season. The 33-year-old Swede’s average annual salary will be $8 million.
Hedman is a two-time Stanley Cup winner with Tampa Bay and the most valuable player in the 2019-20 playoffs. In his NHL career, the defenseman has played 1,052 regular season games and scored 728 points (156 goals and 572 assists); in the Stanley Cup, the Swede has scored 117 points (23+94) in 165 games.
