Russian attacker Damir Zhafiarov entered into a contract with “Barys” reports the press service of the Kazakhstan hockey club.
The agreement with the 30-year-old striker runs until May 31, 2025.
— Zhafyarov does not need any special introduction. His playing qualities are well known to David Nemirovski, under whom Damir was one of the leaders of Torpedo. We hope that in Barys he will become a key player capable of achieving results, – said the club’s general director Oleg Bolyakin.
Zhafyarov has previously played for Novokuznetsk Metallurg, Moscow CSKA, Novosibirsk Sibir, Vladivostok Admiral, Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo, St. Petersburg SKA, Kazan Ak Bars and Omsk Avangard. He has 332 points (133 goals and 199 assists) in 642 KHL regular season and playoff games.
