Athletistic / Hockey. Forward Nic Petan will soon become an Ak Bars player. The Canadian hockey player will sign a one-year contract with Kazan.
According to the Championship, Petan would earn at least 65 million rubles a year at Ak Bars (the salary of a hockey player). The bonus part of Nick’s deal with the KHL club has not yet been announced.
During the 2023/2024 season, Nic Petan played for the Minnesota Wild in the NHL, his farm club Iowa Wild in the AHL, as well as the New York Rangers’ farm club, the Hartford Wolf Pack. In six regular season NHL games for Minnesota, he scored two assists. In 59 games also in the AHL, the forward scored 48 (15+33) points using the goal+assist system.
During his career, Nic Petan played in the NHL for the Winnipeg Jets, Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks. Ak Bars finished last season after the first round of the 2024 Gagarin Cup, losing to Avtomobilist (1-4 in the series).
