Hockey agent Dan Milstein, representing the interests of the Russian forward Egor Surin commented on the player’s high selection by the Nashville Predators in the 2024 NHL Draft.
The Predators selected Surin, 17, with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the draft.
— Probably one of the best drafts among agencies in history. Although we selected 18 players in one of the previous years, this year the quality of players in terms of development is much better. For example, Egor Surin was initially listed in the late second – early third round due to the fact that he plays in Russia and no one saw him until he arrived in our camp. But in the end, Egor had a phenomenal camp, prepared well for interviews with teams and eventually won his place in the first round,” Milshtein said in “Championship”.
Surin played 42 games with Loko last season in the MHL and scored 52 points (22+30). The player also participated in the playoffs, where he scored 23 points (5+18) in 19 games.
