Columbus striker Marchenko has gone to arbitration to resolve a contractual dispute with the club.

The Russian striker “Columbus » Kirill Marchenko was among 14 players from National Hockey League (NHL) teams who requested arbitration to determine their contractual salaries, reports the press service of the NHL Players’ Association (NHLPA).

The hearings will take place from July 20 to August 4. Players will be able to sign new contracts with their current teams at any time before the hearing begins. It was previously reported that the Blue Jackets had made a qualifying offer to the 23-year-old forward.

Last season, Columbus finished last, 16th in the Eastern Conference standings, and did not make the playoffs.

During the 2023/24 season, Marchenko played 78 games for Columbus in the NHL regular season, in which he scored 42 (23+19) points.
