Athletistic / Hockey. The Chicago Blackhawks press service announced the signing of Belarusian defenseman Artem Levshunov. The parties have agreed to a three-year entry-level contract.

Under the contract, the defenseman’s cap hit will be $975,000.

The Chicago club selected Levshunov in the 2024 NHL Draft with the second overall pick. The defenseman set a record for Belarusian hockey players in the NHL Draft. The previous national record was held by defenseman Ruslan Salei, drafted ninth overall by Anaheim in 1996.
