Athletistic / Hockey. Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kirill Marchenko has been unable to agree on a contract extension and has gone to NHL arbitration to determine his salary under a new deal.
According to the NHL press service, 14 hockey players have currently filed for arbitration. Hearings on their cases will take place from July 20 to August 4. It should be noted separately that hockey players who have filed for arbitration can sign new contracts with their teams at any time before the hearings begin.
In the 2023/24 season, Kirill Marchenko played 78 NHL regular season games and scored 42 goals (23+19). The 23-year-old Russian played his second full season in North America on a two-way entry-level contract. He is currently a restricted free agent.
Columbus finished the season in 16th place in the Eastern Conference and did not make the playoffs.
