Russian attacker Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin donated his jersey to the former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The former UFC fighter posted a matching photo on the social network and captioned it: “From a legend to a legend.”
Ovechkin is 38 and has played for Washington since 2005. The Russian forward ranks second on the NHL’s all-time scoring list with 853 goals, just behind Canadian Wayne Gretzky (894). Nurmagomedov, 35, has fought 29 martial arts fights and won 29 of them.
