Athletistic / MMA. Former UFC lightweight champion, legendary Russian mixed martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov received a gift from Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin. One of the best sharpshooters in hockey history presented Khabib with an autographed “Capital” jersey.
“From a legend to a legend,” Khabib responded to the gift on his social media page.
Alexander Ovechkin made his NHL debut in October 2005. Since then, Washington has made the playoffs 15 times. In the 2023/24 season, the 38-year-old Russian has played 79 regular season games, scoring 31 goals and providing 34 assists. In total, he has 853 NHL goals, making him the second-leading scorer in league history.
Khabib Nurmagomedov ended his professional athletic career in the fall of 2020. He left undefeated with 29 wins in 29 fights.
