“I rather support the separation of the KHL from the IIHF, because it further frees the market from unnecessary bureaucracy. In principle, the IIHF exists thanks to these donations for transfer cards. But why clubs and organizations need them, it is difficult for me. So I think this is the main aspect of leaving the IIHF jurisdiction,” Dementyev was quoted as saying by RB Sport.
After the new confirmed sports law and the harmonization of regulatory documents of the Ministry of Sports and the KHL, KHL clubs will no longer require a transfer card for player applications.
