Athletistic/Hockey. San Jose president Jonathan Beecher said he’s sensed increased interest in the club from neutral fans with the arrival of forward McLean Celebrini. The 18-year-old forward was selected first overall by the Sharks in the 2024 NHL Draft.
“Let’s start with the obvious: Hockey fans across the state have shown more attention and interest in our club, media activity has increased. Fans of other teams have started paying more attention to us,” San Jose Hockey quotes Beecher Now as saying.
The club expects an increase in attendance next season following the signing of Celebrini. “San Jose” posted the best result since 2017 in terms of merchandise sales in one day of the offseason.
