Athletistic / Hockey. The Hockey News website published an article by journalist Sammy Silber, in which she speculated on a possible center forward for Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin.
“Now, it’s easy to assume that he’ll be Pierre-Luc Dubois, who became a major acquisition for the capital this summer, but nothing is guaranteed for him. Washington head coach Spencer Carbery doesn’t promise that everything will happen in the end. He said that he’s looking forward to working with the young center to unlock his potential and help him gain stability. Last season, we saw how much of an impact Carbery can have on his players.
Dubois might be a better fit and work better alongside Connor McMichael or Sonny Milano. If that’s the case, then it will be Dylan Strome who continues to help Ovechkin. Last season, Strome fit well into the Ovi lineup,” Silber said in the document.
Alexander Ovechkin made his NHL debut in October 2005. Since then, Washington has made the playoffs for the 15th time. In the 2023/24 season, the 38-year-old Russian has played 79 regular season games, scoring 31 goals and providing 34 assists. In 2018, he helped the Capitals win the Stanley Cup.
