Athletistic/Hockey. Carolina general manager Eric Tulski commented on the decision to place Russian forward Evgeny Kuznetsov on draft waivers for later termination of his contract.
“Ultimately, both parties agreed that this was the best solution for both the player and the team. We thank Evgeniy for his time in the team and wish him and his family all the best,” Tulski is quoted as saying by the club’s press service.
Since the 2013/2014 season, Kuznetsov has played for Washington, but last season he joined the Carolina Hurricanes.
