Athletistic / Hockey. Olympic champion Andrei Kovalenko commented on the possible return of forward Evgeny Kuznetsov to the KHL. The day before, on July 17, the Carolina Hurricanes had submitted the 32-year-old Russian to a waiver draft with a view to subsequently terminating his contract.
“The possible return of Evgeniy to the KHL is cool. Kuznetsov is a world hockey star, but now he is not at all the age of a veteran. This is an ideal find for our league!”
“I do not understand those who started to almost reprimand Kuznetsova through the media. Strange reaction of people! On the contrary, we must support Yevgeny’s decision – to the delight of Russian fans,” Kovalenko said according to Russia-Hockey.ru.
