Athletistic / Hockey. Forward Alexander Barabanov returns to the KHL. The 30-year-old Russian spent the last four seasons in the NHL, where he played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and San Jose Sharks.
According to Sport-Express, Barabanov will continue his career at Ak Bars. Alexander has agreed with the Kazan team to sign a two-year contract.
Last season, Barabanov played in San Jose, where he played 46 NHL regular season games and scored 13 (4+9) points in the goal+assist system.
Alexander Barabanov is a graduate of SKA. He played for the St. Petersburg club from 2014 to 2020 and became a two-time winner of the Gagarin Cup. In 2018, he became an Olympic champion as part of the Russian national team.
