The deal is set for two years for a total of $3.4 million, according to Nashville’s press service. Trenin’s stance on the contract was a one-year contract for 2.4 million, while the club was ready to provide a two-year contract with a salary of 1.35 million per season.
Arbitration is an annual event where players sue their clubs over wages. The task of each of the parties in this process is to try to sign a contract on the most favorable terms.
Last season, Trenin played in 80 NHL regular season games, in which he scored 24 (17+7) points. He has three points in the playoffs.
