Captain SKA Alexander Nikishin told that the team sets the highest goals for the new season of the Fonbet KHL championship.
In the last Gagarin Cup, SKA lost to Avtomobilist in the second round (1-4).

“I would like to win the Gagarin Cup, but we’ll see.” All the guys are already in good shape, so the ‘Match of the Year’ was one of those games where you can see your level, take a breath and cheer yourself up,” Nikishin told .
Over the past two seasons, the 22-year-old defenseman has scored 120 points (33 goals + 87 assists) in 153 KHL regular season and playoff games. Nikishin’s contract with the St. Petersburg club runs through the end of next season.
The KHL championship of the 2024/25 season begins on September 3 with a match between the current winner of the Gagarin Cup Metallurg and Yaroslavl Lokomotiv.
