“Torpedo” signed a contract with a defender Vyacheslav Voinov reports the KHL press service.
Earlier, the player’s agent Stanislav Romanov told that the 34-year-old defender had terminated his contract with Ak Bars Kazan. The hockey player’s agreement with the Nizhny Novgorod team is for one season.
Last season, Voynov scored 14 points (1+13) in 40 KHL regular season games. As a member of the Russian national team, Voinov won the 2018 Olympics and also became a silver medalist at the 2022 Olympics. The defenseman is a two-time Stanley Cup winner with Los Angeles.
The new KHL season starts on September 3. In the first match, on September 4, Torpedo will host Severstal Cherepovets.
