Athletistic / Hockey. Russian forward of the Dallas Stars Evgeny Dadonov has assessed the probable arrival of his compatriot Evgeny Kuznetsov to SKA. For 10 years, the Chelyabinsk hockey graduate has been playing in the NHL.
“There is nothing wrong with Kuznetsov’s choice. This is his life, his decision and his choice. If Zhenya promised to play in Traktor, then he can always keep his promise. Remember Pavel Datsyuk: he returned from the NHL to SKA, he played for several years in St. Petersburg, then returned to Avtomobilist,” Dadonov told Izvestia.
Evgeny Kuznetsov graduated from Chelyabinsk Traktor. In 251 games for his hometown club, the forward scored 167 (78+89) points using the goal+assist system. Kuznetsov has been playing in the NHL since March 2014. He played for the Washington Capitals for 10 years, but finished the 2023-24 season with the Carolina Hurricanes.
In mid-July, Kuznetsov terminated his contract with the Hurricanes and flew to Russia a few days ago. In the KHL, the rights belong to SKA since 2017.
