Olympic silver medalist forward Stanislav Galiev signed a contract with “Avant-garde” reported on the website of the Omsk hockey club.
The agreement with the 32-year-old striker is for one year. Previously, Galiev played for Ak Bars Kazan.
— We thought about Galiev’s candidacy for a long time with others, we discussed it with the head coach.
The signing of this forward is not related to Vladimir Tkachev’s injury. Our choice is determined by the combination of the forward’s strengths, as well as his experience at different levels, including in North America. Stanislav maintained his level everywhere, constantly gained points and distinguished himself with his positive utility indicator.
“We believe that Galiev will be able to spend the best stage of his hockey career in Avangard,” said the club’s general director Anton Kuryanov.
During the 2023/24 season, Galiev played 66 games in the KHL regular season and playoffs, scoring 23 points (7 goals and 16 assists).
