Athletistic / Hockey. The Pittsburgh Penguins press service announced the conclusion of a rookie contract with goaltender Sergei Murashov. The employment contract between the Penguins and the 20-year-old Russian is for three seasons.
Sergei Murashov graduated from Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. In the KHL of railwaymen he played 7 matches, won 4, reflecting 92.8% of shots with a reliability coefficient of 1.87.
Note that Murashov was selected by Pittsburgh in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft with the 118th overall pick.
Murashov is an MHL bronze medalist, Regions Cup winner, Glinka Gretzky Cup winner and also a gold medalist at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games hockey tournament.
