Athletistic / Hockey. Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov spoke about his play last season in the NHL. The 25-year-old Russian is slowly earning his place in the Hurricanes’ core.
“In general, I assess last season positively. I started it timidly, but in the second half I got involved and more or less evened out my game. Unfortunately, in the playoffs I played only one game and that one with a negative result. But still, getting on the ice for the Stanley Cup is a good experience. I have room to develop, so everything is fine, I will continue to work,” Kochetkov told Izvestia.
In the 2023/2024 season, Pyotr Kochetkov played 41 games in the NHL regular season, winning 22 times, reflecting 91.1% of shots and keeping his goal intact four times. In the playoffs, the Russian played a second-round game with the New York Rangers (result: 2-4 in the series).
