Attack Nikita Gusev and Moscow “Dynamo” has signed a new agreement for a period of one season, the KHL club’s press service reports.
Gusev, 31, in the last KHL championship as part of the “blue and white” scored 89 (23+66) points in 68 regular season games, adding 10 (3+7) points in nine playoff games. At the closing ceremony of the season, Gusev was recognized as the most valuable hockey player in the KHL. Since May 1, the forward had the status of an unrestricted free agent.
It was reported that the hockey player was considering getting a job with an NHL club during the offseason, but found no options. Then it became known that he started training camp with Dynamo.
Throughout his career, Gusev played in the NHL for New Jersey and Florida, playing a total of 97 games in the league with 54 (17+37) points. In the KHL, besides Dynamo, the forward played for CSKA, Amur, Yugra and SKA.
