Former SKA forward Evgeny Artyukhin believes that the forward’s successful play Vadim Shipachev In Dynamo Minsk, it will depend on whether the hockey player can find a common language with head coach Dmitry Kvartalnov.
The forward signed a two-year contract with the Belarusian team. Shipachev, 37, has been playing for Ak Bars since 2022. Last season, he played 67 games in the KHL, including the playoffs, scoring 46 (14+32) performance points.
— Is Vadim Shipachev’s transfer to Dynamo Minsk an interesting story for the team and the city?
– I think so. It is a good thing for popularizing hockey in Minsk; more people will go to see Shipachev. And besides, he will be comfortable playing, he will have enough playing time.
“It is difficult to say whether Shipachev and Dmitry Kvartalnov will find a common language. I hope they will, and Vadim will not regret moving there. For Dynamo Minsk, of course, this is a good reinforcement, such a master,” Artyukhin was quoted as saying by RB Sport.
Dynamo Minsk will become the fifth KHL club in Shipachev’s career – before Ak Bars he also played for Severstal, SKA and Dynamo Moscow.
