Russian attacker Igor Chernyshov signed a rookie contract with an NHL club San Jose Sharks says agent Dan Milstein on social media.
The Russian has agreed a three-year deal.
In the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, Chernyshov was selected in the 2nd round, 33rd overall, by the San Jose Sharks. A day earlier, the 18-year-old had terminated his contract with Dynamo Moscow.
In the Dynamo youth team, the forward played 84 matches and scored 82 (43+39) points with a utility indicator of “+44”. In two seasons as a member of the main team, Chernyshov played 49 matches, scoring 5 (4+1) points.
