The goalkeeper of the youth team Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk Ivan Pylenok has died at the age of 20, according to the hockey club’s official website.
The hockey player died on Friday after falling ill at the sports hall.
— In the sports palace, the goalkeeper of the Torpedo youth hockey team Ivan Pylenok felt unwell. First medical aid was provided by doctors and employees of the sports palace.
An emergency medical team was immediately called, doctors tried to help the athlete and organized emergency hospitalization. Unfortunately, despite all the measures taken, Ivan died in hospital.
Torpedo hockey club expresses its sincere and deepest condolences to Ivan’s family and friends. We will remember him as a talented, ambitious and brilliant athlete. This is an irreparable loss for all of us! – the message says.
Last season, Pylenok played in the Kazakhstan youth league and made 16 appearances.
