Former Russian hockey player Nikita Shchitov considers it a good decision to hold the Hockey Stars Week in 2025 in Novosibirsk.
On Tuesday, the KHL and the Novosibirsk region government signed an agreement to hold the 2025 Hockey Stars Week in Novosibirsk at the Sibir Arena, which can accommodate more than 10,000 spectators.
– Good decision. Novosibirsk is a wonderful hockey city. People there are big fans, and at the All-Star Game I think they will have a great time. I believe that every city represented on the KHL map deserves to host the All-Star Game. It is great that such events take place, RB Sport quoted Shchitov as saying.
The Novosibirsk region will become the seventh region to host the Hockey Stars Week. In 2024, the event was held in St. Petersburg at the SKA Arena. The MHL Challenge Cup will be held on February 1, 2025, and the KHL All-Star Game will be held on February 8-9. Novosibirsk will become the easternmost point where the MHL Challenge Cup and the KHL All-Star Game were held.
