– On our side, a good start, a good first period. In the second period, we played 10 minutes in the minority, and the forces were exhausted. The guys were playing, but the discipline of the game is the key to victory. They took the keeper out, they wanted to score, they took risks and wanted to win. Our team is under pressure, since the start of training camp, we work almost seven days a week. We have such a system. We load up the team, laying the groundwork for the season. And we will take errors into account and correct them by the start of the season,” Rotenberg told reporters.
– You have few changes in the composition of the SKA during the offseason. Why?
— First, we don’t have two newcomers. We play with those who are. And as the game progresses, we change different combinations, if you notice. Additionally, we have sent a number of our players to the Russian U25 team. We are now on a background of fatigue, but we still have to win. We have to improve our game in the minority, but the team is building. There are a lot of players just diving into our system. There is something to work on.
– Your player Artem Fedorov used brute force, for which he was sent off…
– If he received a two-minute penalty, it is a violation of game discipline. We need to act better, work more clearly with our feet. We will correct our mistakes and we still want to win this tournament. But today, Avangard executives beat us.
