In recent seasons, we have seen even the leaders, from whom a lot was expected, string together victories and defeats. In my opinion, the very interesting teams in terms of recruiting are Ak Bars and CSKA. I would pay attention to Metallurg: even after winning the championship, they changed a number of hockey players. So the game should be quite interesting.
— Do you expect many surprises this season?
– Yes, of course, I expect surprises. I hope the table will be tight, both in the East and in the West. It will be interesting to watch many teams, including SKA, Torpedo, Salavat Yulaev, Avtomobilist. Many are ready to show unexpected results. It will also be very interesting to watch the Far Eastern teams – “Amur” and “Admiral”. “Siberia is an original team, and Vadim Epanchintsev has already worked in the KHL and showed good results in Khabarovsk, although they did not manage to get to the playoffs,” Dementyev told RB Sport.
