Director of the Youth Football Development Department of FC Lokomotiv Boris Rotenberg told that the club’s youth team’s participation in the UTLC CUP international tournament is a milestone for young players.
From August 13 to 18, the UTLC Cup 2024 international football tournament will be held in Moscow, in which the best academies of Eurasia will participate.
— This tournament is one of the most important football events for young players. It is now extremely important for the development of children to hold such international competitions in Russia. It is very nice to see academies from different countries in Moscow on the Lokomotiv grounds. It is at such tournaments that talents are revealed. I would like to note that quite recently Alexey Batrakov and Vadim Rakov played in the UTLC CUP, and today they are already part of the main team and bring important victories to Lokomotiv. The tournament will be held for the sixth time. Teams from five countries will play: Russia (Lokomotiv, CSKA, Spartak), Serbia (Crvena Zvezda, Partizan), Turkey (Fatih Karagumruk), Belarus (Dynamo Minsk) and Kazakhstan (“Astana”).
The matches will take place from August 13 to 18 at Sapsan Arena, with the final taking place at RZD Arena.
