Athletistic / Hockey. Former Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Tony DeAngelo will move to Russia. The 28-year-old American has agreed to join SKA.
According to “Championship”, DeAngelo has changed his mind about moving to the KHL and agrees to sign a contract with a club from St. Petersburg. It is worth noting that earlier the hockey player, in an interview with the North American media, denied information about his possible transfer to SKA and wanted to wait for offers from the NHL.
Last season in the NHL, Tony DeAngelo played 31 games with Carolina in the regular season and scored 11 (3+8) points in the goals and assists system. In the playoffs, he had 9 games and 2 (0+2) assists. During his NHL career, DeAngelo played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Arizona Coyotes and New York Rangers.
Note that forward Evgeny Kuznetsov left Carolina for SKA.
