Athletistic / Hockey. CSKA Moscow’s new defender Nikita Okhotyuk has spoken about his return to Russia. The 23-year-old Russian has been playing in North America for seven years.
“I have excellent impressions of my stay at CSKA. I came to the team with pleasure and returned to Russia. Living in North America, I miss the culture, my native language and communication with people. So I like everything here, the emotions are only positive.
“I had the opportunity to join the Red Army at the age of 15, but it didn’t work out then. Now everything has grown with CSKA, I don’t regret my choice,” Okhotyuk was quoted as saying by the Championship.
In the 2023/2024 season, Nikita Okhotyuk played 43 NHL regular season games with the San Jose Sharks and scored 8 (1+7) points in the goal+assist system. The Russian also has nine games and one assist for the Calgary Flames.
