Athletistic / Others. Former Czech goalkeeper Dominik Hasek has denounced the exclusion of Russian athletes from competitions. He said he wants to help Russians return to international tournaments.

“Russian athletes are not allowed to participate in international competitions. But unfortunately, at the Paris Olympics, there were about fifteen of them. Every Russian athlete is an advertisement for Russian politics. And it costs human lives, I will fight it. But I am not against Russian athletes, but against the system and the rules, they must be changed. I want to help the Russians.

“I want them to return to competitions with the whole world, but for that there is a lot to do. I offer assistance to individual sports federations around the world, I offer assistance to the International Olympic Committee, I offer assistance to the NHL. I want to cooperate on this. It is important. Everything I do, I do first and foremost to save lives,” Hasek said, as quoted by idnes.cz.
