Silver medalist of the Russian Olympic hockey team Ivan Fedotov will not appear for a hearing in the court of the Leningrad region in case of conscription for military service, the athlete’s lawyer Alexei Ponomarev told .

Earlier, Fedotov’s defense filed a lawsuit with the Vsevolozhsk city court of the Leningrad region to invalidate the commission’s decision to call up a hockey player for military service. The plaintiff in the case is the athlete himself, the defendant is the Editorial Board of St. Petersburg.
