The coach of the youth and youth national teams of Ukraine Bobkin headed the Kherson Dnieper

In the new season the club will be based in Kalush

Head coach of the youth (U-18) and youth (U-20) national hockey teams of Ukraine Alexander Bobkin headed Kherson Dnieper. Details of the agreement with the 40-year-old specialist were not disclosed.

The Dnipro coaching staff also included Ruslan Borisenko, who works as an assistant to Bobkin in the Ukrainian U-18 and U-20 teams, and Alexander Vasiliev, who worked in the Kherson team under previous mentors.

Since the 2015/16 season, Bobkin has worked as an assistant coach at the White Bars. At the end of last year, he headed the BSFC.

Bobkin has been leading the junior and youth national team of Ukraine since 2021. Under his leadership, the U-18 team moved up in class and advanced to the IA division.

Dnipro will be based in Kalush in the 2022/23 season. The Kherson club will share the ice arena with the local Legion.

Earlier, the Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine announced that it had reached an oral agreement with six clubs to participate in the new draw of the Ukrainian championship.

Last season in the championship of Ukraine was completed ahead of schedule due to a full-scale Russian invasion. Sokol, who was the leader in the standings at the time of the suspension of the competition, was recognized as the champion of the national championship.
