Goalkeeper CSKA Ivan Prosvetov said he positively evaluates his experience playing in the National Hockey League (NHL).
In August, the 25-year-old goalkeeper signed a three-year contract with CSKA.
— I played in the NHL, many people have such a dream, I did it too. I definitely closed my gestalt. I think I succeeded. Yes, not as a first goalie, as I wanted, but I was there quite young. I understood that I could stay there and play, I had offers.
They gave me one-sided contracts, but I still chose CSKA. A very respectable club. I wouldn’t even consider an offer from another team, even though I have the status of a restricted free agent. I would have thought about it 100 times, but with CSKA everything happened without much thought. This is the best team in Russia,” Prosvetov told the Championship.
Prosvetov was selected 114th overall by Arizona in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, he played for Colorado and appeared in 11 games for them, during which he recorded 4 wins with a 3.16 save percentage and 89.5% save percentage.
The new season of the FONBET Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) championship starts on September 3. On September 5, CSKA will play against Spartak.
