Athletistic / Hockey. The Edmonton Oilers press office has announced a trade with the Vancouver Canucks. Russian forward Vasily Podkolzin has joined the Oilers camp, and the fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, which Edmonton previously received from the Ottawa Senators, has gone in the opposite direction.
Vasily Podkolzin was selected by Vancouver in the 1st round, 10th overall, at the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. In the 2023/24 season, he played 19 regular season games and recorded two assists. In total, he has 137 NHL games and 35 (18+17) points in the goal+assist system.
Note that last season, Edmonton reached the NHL playoff final, where it lost to the Florida Panthers in seven games.
