Athletistic / Hockey. New Jersey Devils assistant general manager Dan MacKinnon says SKA forward Arseniy Gritsyuk wants to play in the NHL. The 23-year-old Russian was selected by the Devils in the fifth round, 129th overall, of the 2019 NHL Draft.
“Gritsyuk is a talented, experienced player who wants to come and play in the NHL. I know full well he wants to play in the NHL. We just have to see if we can do it in a year,” the NHL press service quotes MacKinnon as saying.
On July 31, SKA signed Gritsyuk to a new contract for one season. Last season, Arseniy played 60 games in the KHL for CSKA Neva and scored 44 (23+21) points in the goal+assist system.
“New Jersey” in the 2023/2024 season took 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings and did not reach the playoffs.
