Last week, the Vladivostok Admiral terminated the contract with Ortega, which was concluded in May. The player did not play a single official match for the Russian team.
Ortega, 30, spent last season in the German league and scored 35 (21 goals + 14 assists) points in 51 games for Munich. In the playoffs, he had 3 assists in 5 games.
The new season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) begins on September 3. Kunlun will face Dynamo Moscow in its first match on September 4.
